Discover 8 fashion trends that are set to take over in 2025
A new year is approaching, and that means a whole new set of trends in the fashion world. Fashion is forever changing with styles going in and out of fashion and sometimes it can be hard keeping up with whats new in. Over this next year, fashion will be bold, out there, and made up of things you probably wouldn’t have dared to wear last year; but that’s the great thing about fashion.
In this post, I’ll be sharing 8 fashion trend predictions set to take over in 2025. All these trends are great as not only are they all super wearable, but they are great ways to step out of your comfort zone and try a style you may not have tried before. So, if you want to get an idea of what fashion pieces you should buy, this is for you.

1. Boho Chic
Boho is back! 2025 is going to be the year we bring back the 2000s boho chic look. The Chloé inspired aesthetic will be the craze throughout the year as we move away from tight-fitting outfits and look forward to the light, airy style. This trend will be hot throughout the year, but it’ll really take off during the spring and summer seasons. It is the perfect trend for that time of year, with the flowing materials and the light, neutral colours; it gives the ultimate summer country girl look. A lot of contrast is going to be created with this style, as we’ll see a lot of leather and suede pieces paired with it to create the ultimate ‘boho with an edge’ look.

2. Suede Style
Speaking of suede, suede is also going to be one of 2025’s go-to’s. We saw the rise of suede in the last few months of 2024, but this is the year that it makes its statement in the fashion scene. From suede co-ords to boots and bags, suede will be a key part of everyone’s wardrobes; it is the perfect way to elevate an outfit and give it that chic, stylish look. It goes hand-in-hand with so many trends we’ll see this year and not to mention, it’ll be the perfect addition to a capsule wardrobe. It is a relaxed yet sophisticated style, which is exactly, what 2025 is about.

3. Cherry Season
The obsession for cherries continues into the new year. In 2024, we saw many cherry themed pieces and cherry red items in fashion, and we’re about to see a whole lot more this year. The deep red tone is rich and elegant, with brands like Gucci incorporating the luxurious shade in their recent runway collection. The cherry pattern is fun and a cute addition to an outfit, especially when it comes to accessories, so having them amongst the trends this year is going to be perfect. Whether you prefer the cherry design pieces or complete cherry red outfits, this is a trend I think we will still see a lot of over the next few seasons.

4. Animal Prints
2024 bought back leopard print and 2025 is the year for all animal prints. There is no denying that leopard print didn’t take over the fashion scene last year, so it is only right that it goes even further this year. We are going to be seeing tiger stripes, snake prints, and even cow prints be the statement feature in so many pieces. From skirts to jackets to bags, there is no piece of clothing or accessory that an animal print cannot feature in. At the end of last year, we saw a lot of leopard print styled in more of a neutral way, and this year it will definitely become more of a wardrobe staple rather than a trend, so if you weren’t ready to branch out last year; this is the perfect time to do so.

5. More is More
This is the year that fashion becomes fun again. We’re bringing back everything the 80s was and more, with loads of volume, embellishments and bright colours. We’ve become so used to seeing the minimalist style in fashion with everything matching, this trend is really going to take us all out of our comfort zones. There’ll be a lot of layering, pairing different patterns and clashing colours together, and big, statement accessories are for the win. If you think two fashion pieces don’t go or shouldn’t be worn together, it is perfect for this trend. This is the ideal trend for stepping out of your comfort zone and trying outfits you would never imagine wearing because big is better in 2025.

6. Elevated Sportswear
Sportswear isn’t just for working out anymore it’s about to become part of your everyday style. Now, athleisure isn’t new to the fashion trends it has been popular over the last few years; however, this year, it is going to become the norm to mix and match your sportswear and your day-to-day wardrobe. Fashion brands Casa Blanca and Ferragamo blended activewear with a bright colour palette to enhance the feminine side of sports fashion. Outfits such as a track zip-up top and a mini skirt or joggers and a shirt are going to be the perfect way to style activewear. This trend started with the return of varsity jackets, and it has gotten more and more popular each year, so 2025 is definitely going to bring some cool looks with this trend.

7. Mini & Micro
We saw this trend begin to take off over the last year, but it is soon to become the statement look of the year. The micro shorts trend has been seen on the Fendi and Acne Studios runway and by trend-setting celebs like Kendall Jenner and Hailey Bieber. In the last year, you may have seen it as an unwearable trend and probably not something you can add to everyday fashion, but the styling of them in 2025 is going to be perfect for your go-to going out look, and even bold daytime outfits.

8. Ballet Pink
Every year, there is always a colour focused trend and the colour of this year is pale pink. We’ve seen bright red in 2023, burgundy in 2024, and now this year, we’re going to the other end of the colour spectrum with a pale pink. The soft, calm pink has been a popular colour on the runways this season, with brands such as Alaïa, Chanel and Prada incorporating it into dresses, cardigans and co-ords; we know that fashion is about to become pink obsessed. The blush tones are perfect not only for the spring and summer seasons but it’ll also look beautiful in so many winter outfits. We’ve definitely seen a shift this year from the dark, edgy fashion look to the light and romantic style, especially with this type of trend.
Summary
I hope this has helped you get ready for the fashion trends of 2025 and helped you figure out what you’ll be adding to your wardrobe for the following year. For some, trends are great, and they are a great way of switching up your wardrobe and trying something new, but for others, they’d rather stay away from trends and have a more staple wardrobe.
